His research interests include musculoskeletal biomechanics, fascia, connective tissue, connective tissue disease, exercise, and fascial manipulation. He has conducted research on the effect of eccentric exercise on fascia stiffness and its relation with delayed onset muscle soreness.

Some of his specific areas of expertise include:

  • Soft tissue stiffness assessment using shear-wave elastography.
  • The effects of roller massage on range of motion, passive tissue stiffness, and neuromuscular performance.
  • The Anatomy Trains myofascial meridians.
  • The association between increased fascia thickness and reduced joint flexibility in patients with chronic pain.
  • The potential role of fascial myofibroblasts in “Long COVID-19” and viral “fibromyalgia-ness”.
